The aim of Pristine Springs of the Buh River, the First International Ecological Ethno-Festival are:
- Buh outfall pollution prevention;
- conservation of the Buh international ecological corridor;
- efficient use of the Western Buh water resources;
- attracting attention of world community to improvement of the Buh (Western Buh) basin ecological condition;
- presentation of recreational and investment attractiveness of Zolochiv district and Lviv region altogether.
The tasks of Pristine Springs of the Buh River, the First International Ecological Ethno-Festival are as follows:
- to improve ecological condition of the Western Buh river basin;
- to expand international relations of Lviv region and Zolochiv district in particular;
- to involve international ecological funds in improving ecological condition of Zolochiv territory
- to expand cross-boundary cooperation of Lviv region
- to attract attention of the community to development prospects of tourist potential of Lviv region in general and Zolochiv district in particular;
- to acquaint potential investors with local culture and Zolochiv district development prospects;
- to stimulate investment in regional infrastructure;
- to promote development of services sphere in Zolochiv district and tourist infrastructure in particular;
- to develop new forms of leisure activities, especially for young people;
- to support gifted children and young people of Zolochiv district;
- to promote revival of ethnical customs and development of traditional crafts in Zolochiv land;
- to make people familiar with historical heritage of Zolochiv land.

The events of Pristine Springs of the Buh River, the First International Ecological Ethno-Festival take place on Zolochiv district territory and in Verkhobuzh village of Zolochiv district in particular.

- reinforce nature conservative measures concerning the Western Buh outfall and basin;
- international cooperation;
- cross-boundary cooperation;
- European integration;
- physical education and sports development;

- popularization of the local history and cultural heritage;
- spreading local traditions, traditional crafts in particular;
- creative work of local children and youth;
- spiritual revival;
Events of Pristine Springs of the Buh River, the First International Ecological Ethno-Festival will include:
- holding ecological issues conferences;
- presentation of Lviv region and Zolochiv district;
- attracting investment called for improving ecological condition of the Western Buh outfall and basin: effective functioning of purifying installations; installing sewerage systems in inhabited localities; carrying out projects and water protection zones and costal protective belts of the Western Buh basin water bodies; improving water quality in Western Buh; elimination, rendering harmless and decomposition of solid domestic waste;
- presenting arts and crafts articles of masters;
- excursions:
- to Ukrainian Golden Horseshoe castles,
- to M. Shashkevych's museum-household in Pidlyssia village, museum-mud-house in Havarechchyna village;
- to sacred places and cloisters of Zolochiv land;
- to ancient temples – Zolochiv land architectural monuments;
- to Zolochiv necropolis and around Zolochiv;
- sports competitions;
- kozaks' entertainments;
- Hues of the Native Land, an artistic report of amateur art activities groups and cultural and educational institutions of the district;
- intensive musical programme (choir singing international competition, vocalist competition among children etc.) including gala concert on the last day of Pristine Springs of the Buh River, the First International Ecological Ethno-Festival.
